Support
Support status (June 2026): Cartavie is actively maintained. If development is ever discontinued, a notice will be posted here. Your notebooks live on your device — export important pages as PDFs to keep them safe.
Quick answers
How do I add a new page?
Tap the ✚ embroidered icon on the central ribbon.
How do I delete an image?
Tap the red X in the top-right corner of the image. A six-second Undo delete button appears at the bottom of the spread if you change your mind.
How do I export my notebook to print?
Tap the share icon on the ribbon (bottom of the central ribbon). Choose ribbon style → cover → quality. The PDF is imposed as a folded A4 booklet.
How do I print the booklet correctly?
Print double-sided on A4, flip on the short edge. Fold the stack in half and staple twice along the spine. Use heavier card stock for the cover.
Where is my notebook stored?
Locally on your iPad, inside the App's sandbox. Nothing is uploaded. Use iCloud Backup for safety.
Will my notebook survive a Cartavie reinstall?
No — iOS deletes an app's sandbox when you delete the app. Export PDFs of important pages before uninstalling, or rely on iCloud Backup.
Can I sync between iPads?
Not yet. Cartavie is intentionally offline-first.
Does Cartavie work on iPhone?
The project is currently optimised for iPad. iPhone is technically supported but the spread layout is designed for the larger screen.
Why is rotating the iPad slow?
Rotation is supported but rebuilds the spread. If you hit a glitch, please report the steps via email.
